Well, I don’t have any kids yet, but I really think that you are right, in the things you are saying. You really sound like a good and caring mother! I think, it’s some very good advice you are giving. I am really impressed.

“But most of all, if your kid screams, “I hate you!” and slams the door going in their room, that means, 9 times out of 10, “Thank you for caring but I hate that I’m not getting what I want right now. I know you love me and I love you, too.”

I think that is so right. I remember screaming “I hate you” to my mother, and as you are saying, it was often because I knew she was right, and I just was so angry, because I could not get what I wanted.

Again, I think it’s so right, what you are saying. Good job and very nice homepage.

Don’t give them the answers. They usually don’t listen, anyway. Ask great questions, instead.

Yeah, I think those two getting shot drove the point home to all 3 of mine that who you hang with and what they’ve been up to might be enough to get you in deep trouble…you don’t even have to have ‘done anything’ yourself.

Fortunately, mine have never been allowed to ‘hang’ with these two (or any of the rest of their cohorts.) I’ve seen the writing on the wall for a long time now, and have always been the ‘mean mom who never lets us do anything’.

Wow, lots if drama last night. Thank God your kids got home safely and hopefully, they learned some valuable life lesson in the wake of the shootings. Sometimes people get shot by accident but more often, the company people keep is what gets them in trouble.

Frankly, I’m glad I’m not a mom of humans and only have a dog to deal with. I cannot comprehend being a single mother – nope, can’t even think about it. It makes me dizzy!
