Home for a Little Yellow Bug

I’ve severely neglected my yard (both front and back) since the fire, but one thing upon which I can depend each year is a few days of firey gorgeousness in the backyard when the day lilies bloom.

A little yellow bug which looks like a yellow lady bug to me has found a temporary home in the day lilies. I’ve seen it twice (either that, or it’s lookalike friend) since the lilies have bloomed. Can’t say as I blame him - these lilies are beautiful and very temporary. (I guess that’s why they’re called Day lilies, huh? Duh!)

Are you sure it is a bug and not a spider? I sometimes get these bright yellow crab spiders on my flowers and they seem to eat the pests that can ruin the plant, so I let them stay.

You know what? I’m not sure, now. It looked like a lady bug to me, only yellow where lady bugs are red, but I’ll have to go out and see if he’s still there and take a closer look. I’m with you - if he’s eating bad bugs, he can stay! Thanks for the tip!
