Where Is Home?
I have several physical places on this planet that evoke that warm feeling of belonging that is ‘home’. Certainly, my house is one of them. Tulsa (amazingly, it’s grown on me) is another of them. Western PA is another, as it is where I grew up, and Clendenin, West Virginia, where my dad’s dad lived, which is more about the people than the place, though West Virginia truly is ‘God’s Country’. My parents’ place is yet another because they are there.
Sometimes home has more to do with who than where. When I switch to who, home is spread far and wide, as are the people who love me and accept me as I am for who I am.

Home is such a slippery thing for me. I tend to make myself at home wherever I am, and there are so many places dear to my heart because I loved living there or loved others who still live there. I still refer to Chicago as “home” because I grew up there and have family there, also Japan in some ways because I loved it there, and, currently, actually Tulsa, too, because my sweetheart is there and because I *love* visiting him in Tulsa - such a great place.

Awesome, definitely! The times I’ve been have been pretty quick trips, but one of these days I might have a longer trip… Oh, I’ll just have to shoot you an email
I really and sincerely would love if you went and told my nice Whataburger woman how sweet she is if you were in that area and felt so inclined, too (leaving out all the bloggy drama that I wouldn’t want her to know I put out there while she is anonymous, and not even coming from me but directly from you).
