Whole Lotta Luv Washin’ Over Me

It occurs to me that I’ve been blessed to have a whole lotta luv washin’ over me since I posted yesterday. And yeah, I’m worth it, an’ all, but it’s still fairly wondrous to recognize in the moment. Kinda makes your jaw drop if you pay attention.

First, I want to send a shout out [...]

Happier New Year Each Year

I’m enjoying a great trend in my life. Each New Year that comes along is better than the last one. Problems (attitudes) that were so pervasive last year are gone now. I can see the progress I’m making, and I am so grateful (for the progress, and even more that I can see it!)
Yes, there [...]

Santa, Mrs. Claus, An Elf and Some Reindeer

That’s Prima Donna Daughter there to the left of Santa, cheesin’ for the camera. They’re joined by Mrs. Claus, an Elf and four other reindeer (don’t ask me what happened to the other three reindeer - I couldn’t get a straight answer.)

We Have Lights and Heat!

Just a quick post to let everyone know our power was restored last night at 10:30pm! We have lights and heat!
Phone and Internet access will be restored on Wednesday, so I’m still hangin’ out at my favorite Barnes and Noble store ’til then. But that’s ok - they’ve got good coffee here.

All of Oklahoma Declared a Natural Disaster

Well, I declared that back on June 21, 1981 when I was shanghaied and dumped moved here. But I was 17 at the time and had a bad attitude.
And as I’ve stated before, I’ve had plenty of time to leave, so I try to keep my disparaging remarks to a minimum. But this declaration does [...]

After the Winter Wonderland Melted

This is a picture of my neighbor’s front yard. Lovely, huh?
It was gorgeous Sunday night. See that street light at the right edge of the picture? The light from it shining through the ice-covered branches of what once was pretty tree made it sparkle like a crystal Christmas tree ornament.
Now…not so much. The saddest [...]

10 Things I Like About Me

Madame M says we can self-tag on this one, too, so here I go:
1. I, too, have great eyes. I’ve always thought so. They are expressive and a wonderful kaleidoscope of colors blended together into what the DMV calls brown. They don’t know - they don’t pay attention.
2. I have one bodacious set of [...]
