Almost 21 years ago (8 days shy of 21 years ago, to be exact), I became a mother. Of course, I was going to be the best mom ever (weren’t we all?!) and my children would listen, do what they were told without argument, understand that I knew what was best for them and thank me for being such a good mom.
Yeah - well, one can dream, right?
In the years since, I have fucked up just about every way imaginable when it comes to mothering. Big mistakes, little mistakes and all sizes of mistakes in between. And the hell of it is, I’m STILL fucking up on a regular basis. But, I’m ok with my fuck ups, and here’s why:

Uhhh…yeah… A big ol’ honkin’ VBS! Certainly the biggest I’ve ever witnessed!
PDD was a bit leery upon arriving the first [...]
This morning, it was actually in the upper 50’s when I woke up…cold enough to open up the windows again! Woo-hoo! Unheard of in mid-June!
PDD had to feed her horses on BellaSara.com (amazing she remembers to do that but Pepper, our dog, has a hard time getting fed.) While she was sitting there, she actually [...]
Wrapping up a week-long celebration of turning 9, PDD had her first ever slumber party last night. In attendance were 4 friends from school. That’s PDD in the middle. The two girls dressed alike are sisters, but not twins. The older sister (on the left) is going into 6th grade next year, while the rest [...]
