When we returned home late Sunday evening, awaiting us was a voice mail from the Ex-Girlfriend that went exactly like this, in a squeaky, tear-filled voice:
Hi. I just wanted to let (Oldest Son) know that I didn’t have the baby yesterday. Tell him he doesn’t have to worry about the baby anymore - I lost [...]
So, ok, we’ve got Oldest Son going to work everyday at the job he got immediately after moving home. He and Second Daughter are talking and texting back and forth day and night, like they have to cram the missing years into just a few days. The Ex-Girlfriend is calling jumping all over Oldest Son’s [...]
It never ceases to amaze me how silly teenagers can be. Second Son and his friends had been outside running around in the rain. When they came in, they decided to rinse the grass off their feet in the bathtub and since they were all wet already, they just had a seat.
Second Son broke up with his former girlfriend a couple of months ago. Of course, I am the last to know anything, so I was somewhat confused when he and one of the neighbor’s daughters started ‘hanging out’ together.
PDD has been friends with this particular girl for awhile now. She’s only 6 months younger [...]
PDD is at a slumber party this evening so I’ve got me a date with a hottie: Second Son! We’re going to see “The Incredible Hulk” and “You Don’t Mess With the Zohan” at the drive-in here in a few minutes.
Try not to be jealous, folks!
Wrapping up a week-long celebration of turning 9, PDD had her first ever slumber party last night. In attendance were 4 friends from school. That’s PDD in the middle. The two girls dressed alike are sisters, but not twins. The older sister (on the left) is going into 6th grade next year, while the rest [...]
I had such a great day today! And today’s the full moon, no less! How cool is that??
First, I had my annual OB/GYN appt this morning at 9 and of course, the first thing they want you to do is step up on the scales…I have lost 4 pounds since I was in their office [...]
That’s what this day has been like, so far.
We’re in the last month of school, and the kids are interested in anything and everything but school. So substituting for an English teacher who’s in the middle of reading “To Kill a Mockingbird” was not fun. The not fun part was watching the kids blow [...]
It was Mother’s Day a week early at my house this weekend. Oldest Son (who’s working for a landscaper) came bearing gifts: 4 pots of baby Japanese Maple trees (about 6 different varieties) and 2 pots of Sedum. He was full of instructions on their care and maintenance, which is good, because left to my [...]
