That is powerful stuff indeed. I love history, and yet somehow was not aware of some of that. Gee, I wonder why? It should be seen by everyone, especially our young people.

I do take it very seriously as well; I think I have only missed one primary since I became of age, and that was because I was overseas. I was so proud to go with my oldest when he voted for the first time 4 years ago.

We all owe a huge thanks to those brave women. God bless them all.

Quite an impressive piece of article. I think to vote is something obligatory and very body is supposed to vote according to his or her desire regardless of the gender discrimintaion . One should feel the power of a vote in bringing revolutions. I remeber the lines from a poem little things..

Little drops of water, little grains of sand.
Make mighty oceans and pleasant lands.

I read this before, but don't remember where. Hard times for women ! I remember my mother voted but ALWAYS the same as my father ! she would never have dared to vote for somebody else ! and I think a lot of women are like this.
In Belgium elections are obligatory and if you don't vote you have to pay a fine. I think there is no other country who does this. To force people to vote is not good either.

Gattinas last blog post..<a href="http://gattinawritercramps.blogspot.com/2007/12/click-here-here-cats-on-tuesday-is.html"></a>
